Working from home is now a main part of many employees’ lives following the coronavirus outbreak. And it seems that this ‘new normal’ will likely become a permanent fixture for organisations.
This has been discovered following a survey of just under 1,000 firms by the Institute of Directors (IoD), which found that 74% plan on maintaining this increase in remote work, with more than half stating that they will reduce the long-term use of workplaces, reported the BBC.
Elsewhere, a small study of bosses whose organisations had already cut workplace use suggested 44% of them believed that working from home has proven to be ‘more effective’.
