Are bosses 'scared' of younger workers?

It's now the norm for companies to have a workforce that spans several generations. But whereas many leaders were once in the position of managing colleagues who may be 20 or 30 years younger or older than themselves, it’s becoming increasingly common to see that age gap between staff and their superiors diminishing.

And this situation is apparently causing considerably anxiety among Millennial bosses who are finding themselves increasingly in charge of Gen Z’ers and, as such, being exposed to their own ageing perceptions of how work should get done.

A report in the Economic Times highlighted how the younger workforce’s shifting attitudes to work culture is presenting challenges for bosses in their late 30s.
