Developments in the news surrounding coronavirus’ spread throughout the UK aren’t just having an effect on the working routines of Britain’s workers, they’re also having a drastic effect on their mental health and wellbeing.

Whilst much uncertainty surrounds business’ reaction to the news, nearly two-thirds of employees responded to a survey conducted by data and statistics expert Inpulse stating that their most common feelings amidst the coronavirus pandemic are anxiety, stress or distraction, with job security being the dominant reason for the emotion.

The survey also showed that of the negative and positive emotions employees could choose, just seven per cent selected ‘focused’ as a top emotion, while ‘committed’ only represented 14% of emotions chosen – therefore, a slowdown in productivity is to be expected.
