Salary: £27,000.00 - £28,750.00

Working for a well established manufacturing compnay are client is looking for a new member to join their finance team.

Duties and responsibilities: -

  • Maintaining Purchase Ledger inc. placing and processing of purchase orders, invoice matching, getting invoices approved by managers, checking prices are correct and processing invoices. Importing invoices into sage from MRP system
  • Monitoring and printing emails from accounts email box
  • Pairing supplier delivery notes and certificates of conformity
  • Monthly GRN Reporting
  • Maintaining filing
  • Reconciliation of customers and supplier accounts
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries
  • Download data from MRP system into excel required to calculate quarterly intercompany charges
  • Administration duties inc. answering telephone, covering reception, contract review plus ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Support with Sales Ledger inc. raising sales invoices promptly and accurately in line with agreements, processing & filing invoices, and POD, managing and collecting debts of company debtors, and preparation/emailing of customer statements as required
  • Run monthly payroll for approximately 65 people, up to bank submission stage

The Assistant Accountant will have:-

  • Knowledge of Sage Accounts
  • Knowledge of Sage Payroll
  • Strong excel skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great communicator - both written and verbal
  • Self-starter able to work using own initiative
  • Must be a team player who is hands on and flexible
  • Accurate, efficient, and organised with the ability to priorities tasks as needed
  • Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others
  • Progressive

Our client offers fabulous benefits to include:

  • A salary of £27,000 - £28,750 dependent on experience
  • Working hours of 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday & 8:30am – 2:30pm Friday
